Since 2015, Foggy Vally Animal Rescue has been the only raccoon-specific rehabilitation center in the Pacific Northwest. Our blend of science, compassion, and community ensures injured and orphaned raccoons return to the forests and riverbanks they know best.

What started as a backyard wildlife hospital has grown into a multi-site rescue network with statewide impact.

2015 · Launching the mission

Founder Mara Chen transforms her family barn into a licensed wildlife rehabilitation center focusing on raccoons.

2018 · Community hotline

Volunteer-led rescue hotline launches, connecting residents with rapid-response teams across Foggy Vally.

2021 · Habitat partnerships

Foggy Vally signs conservation agreements with local land trusts, securing 40 acres of raccoon habitat.
